Short break sight fishing for Barbel and Carp on the Fly.

Well not much to report on the carp fishing side of things, we have had a couple of groups over and others Fly and pleasure fishing.

Its not that we havent been doing anything, or fishing all the time, we have been solid on the Predator side of things.

Were in summer break now, not that its much of a break for us. We hope to get a bit of carp fishing in before the season starts, depending on the weather, and theres still more work to be done on the Barbel river fishing side.

Justo with a typical River Barbel

Our Barbel set up - heavy tip rods and Korum River Pods,
 not over-powered carp set up.

We had the pleasure of Bill and Robert two very experienced fly anglers over for a few days.
Conditions weren’t great as the heat wave was just coming to its end, but never the less they had plenty of action.

They had Barbel on the dry fly, a few small bass and carp, a day on the river section and final day on the boat.

Robert tried the belly boat, the best system for bait presentation.

We didn’t get too many pictures as they both went off in separate directions and boy can these lads cover some distance

Mark was also over and had a dabble at the fly.

Darren was over carp fishing with the wife and 2 teenage kids.

After a long day getting the ´family´ settled in and set up I went home to crash. ´smashed my PB´ is the text I got later.

When I got back to them, it soon came apparent he had been beaten up by a lower 30lb common.. It was a couple of pounds short of his 36lb PB, but with the back and length of these fish he thought it was bigger.

The youngsters had Pb tench and PB carp and had a great week. Unfortunately no pictures, gone missing like my phone charger DARREN.
See you next time...

Carp fishing Orellana and Pleasure anglers

Pat, one of the London lads was over again, this time he brought mate Ryan to fish with him on the Orellana .
Ryan had several fish, nothing massive but he was amazed at the place and the energy these fish have.

Pat on the other hand, got beat up again!!!  He lost 3 big lumps.
I dont know what it is with this group of lads, over the 9 trips or so, ok they have had fish to over 60lb, but loosing so many big fish, its unreal. Its not as if they are bad anglers, Pat has a UK PB of 59,5lb.
Pat will be back for sure, and one day he will get a huge lump out.

Polish lads over for a few days Tip fishing,
(our first group of Polish ever) and what an interesting week it was.

New Barbel packages for 2017

There is a lot of interest in Barbel fishing and a fair few anglers booking with us, so over the last month or so we have been putting ideas together for new Barbel packages.
The new packages, at hand picked locations, will offer fishing at productive venues where we relocate with you and fishing is within a few minutes drive from the 'casa rural' accommodation.

There are not many swims where we can target the Barbel on lakes here, especially on traditional 'tip tactics' rather than the overpowering 'carp' set up, so we have designed our new packages based around this.

To sum it up, we locate to a venue suitable for your requirements and depending on lake conditions, accommodation is only minutes away from swims, and whats more you can mix venues, 3 days on one venue and relocate during the day to another or even try the fantastic River section.

We will still have the normal package available based in our village with a varied selection of venues to fish, including the Orellana, all within 45 mins drive.

Still a lot of work to be done, however we should have everything organised in a couple of weeks.
